The Adventures of Specialist John Dorman
From Sibling abuse ,poverty and personal success.
I consider myself a self-made millionaire ,with investments in Real Estate this coupled with a lucrative Stock Portfolio.
In the genesis of my life growing up in Saint Lucia ,my life was absurd .
At the tender age of 9 months I was given up for adoption and as a consequence some of my synthetic siblings were not reaching out to me, they some how trier to marginalized me.
I am of the opinion that life is an obstacle course. It's not the volume of obstacles you encounter along the way ,but how you defeat the obstacles that matters. Life is all about perspective.
In my young adult life my friends were hardship, poverty ,hunger, humiliation adversity ,tenacity and determination .
Looking back I not have made it successfully into adulthood ,if it were not for Delores Thigpen, Miss Ida Miller , Albina ,and God's intervention .
Growing up in the Black community on the South Side of Chicago I would frequently hear Black folks blaming the White man for their ill-conceived decisions ,They blame the Government ,the weather , slavery for their failure in life .They spend their whole fucking life making excuses instead of shouldering the responsibility for their failure .
Another idiotic concept frequently heard in Saint Lucia amount the Blacks ( Is whatever is there for you water cannot carry it away )) This parasitic ideologies is what breeds failure among black people .
My life story is totally different not your regular Joe Blow story .Nothing short of miraculous It's an adventure filled with anger, determination , a Caribbean man hungry for sweet success . I had to expeditiously re-educate myself Embraced the White man ,the Yellow man The Black man learn from them all absorb the positive from each one....
I worked extremely hard to reinvent myself . Because a college education can open the doors to success , In 1976 I studied Cultural Anthropology at Brooklyn College ,1978 I sojourn to Chicago to study at MX. College in 1981 I graduated from Coyne American Institute with an Emphasis in Industrial Electricity ,Air Conditioning ,Refrigeration ,and Heating .In 1982 I graduated from Chicago city Wide College as a Para Medic , In 1990 I graduated from Wright College as a Nursing Assistance ,in 1986 I studied Theology at Elm Hurst College ,IN 1974 I graduated from Merrell Barracks in Nuremberg Germany as a field Radio Repair Technician In 1994 I successfully graduated from Triton College of Nursing as a license Practical Nurse I studied basic German Language at The Goethe Institute in Chicago .
Under the watchful eye of Ida Miller the President of the Federal Credit Union my mentor who instilled in me good Money Management skills. She introduced me to Mutual Funds Stocks and Bonds .Taught me how to read a prospectus and how to put together an effective stock Portfolio.
With so much knowledge I was able to changed the entire dynamics of my down-trodden life.
Now a days my life is simply wonderful .In 2013 I took my family on a 6 weeks exploration vacation to see and experienced the allure of the Mediterranean region
